Dormiveglia ('half asleep') is a side artistic project, born from the desire to explore the new frontiers of AI.

 

The relationship between humans and artificial intelligence in the creation of visual content mirrors a conversation, a dialogue.

A long back and forth to assemble the perfect image, deconstructing and reconstructing its parts interactively.

It is during this process that the rational rules of the familiar phenomenal world begin to decay.

A computer bot does not always have the ability to provide a rational, realistic result:

The images that AI produces often contain absurd and surreal elements.

Just as when we fall asleep and reality blends with dreamy dimensions.

As in lucid dreams where we can control our choices, yet simultaneously allow ourselves to be carried by the surreal flow that our mind creates.

And it is within this womb that Dormiveglia has born.
